The starting price of the Tata Nano EV (base model) will be around Rs 4.49 lakh to 5.49 lakh, while the top model will be priced at Rs 7.99 lakh.
#2. MG Comet EV
At present, The Comet EV is the most affordable and value-for-money car which is available in 3 variants. The base variant named Executive can be bought for just Rs 7.50 lakh (on-road price) and rest 2 variants named Excite and Exclusive will cost around Rs 8.46 lakh and Rs 9.20 lakh respectively.
This car is a pure city-based car for a daily commute and comes packed with 17.2 kWh battery capacity. It offers a decent range of 180-190 km in the real world and can be parked easily at home or in parking areas.

Tiago EV is one of the best options compared to the Mg Comet EV and Tata Nano EV. Having a budget of 10 lakh, you can buy Tiago EV XE MR and XT MR variants which are priced at Rs 8.42 Lakh (on-road) and Rs 9.49 Lakh (on-road) respectively. Both variants come with a 19.2 kWh battery pack and offer a range of 180-190 km.
#6. Maruti Suzuki Wagon R EV (Upcoming)
As per the latest data, Wagon R is the top-selling car in India and the reason is…it is spacious, affordable, and offers good boot space and legroom. Even when you book a cab on ride-sharing platforms like Ola Uber or Rapido, the Wagon R is commonly the car that arrives for your ride.
Now soon Suzuki will launch Wagon R an electric version. Once it is launched, it will become the most selling car in the EV segment in India.
The Wagon R EV will be launched with 2 battery capacities – 1. with 19.2 kWh 2nd with 24 kWh. As most people prefer it for Taxi, it could be the first and fit choice. The on-road range of the Wagon R EV would be around 180-240 km depending on what battery capacity variant you purchased.

This car doesn’t compromise anything, hence it is called a complete hatchback car which you can take on a long route without any issue. This car is far better than Comet, Tiago, Wagon R, and Celerio.
